The Probus Club of Carseldine Inc. offers fun, friendship and fellowship for retired and semi-retired people from Carseldine, Aspley, Bridgeman Downs and nearby suburbs on the northside of Brisbane in Queensland (Australia). Membership is open to both men and women and we welcome enquiries from those interested in joining us.
Probus Clubs are self-governing, while adhering to a constitution established by Probus South Pacific Inc. in order to preserve the integrity and reputation of Probus.
The Club has a variety of activities to keep us active and enjoying retirement.
At most monthly meetings we arrange for a guest speaker from the community to present to us on a topic relevant to retirees or of interest to members.
A coach trip to a place of interest in Brisbane or around Southeast Queensland.
The club holds special celebrations a few times a year, traditionally Australia Day, Carseldine Probus's Anniversary (in April), and a Christmas party in late November. These usually replace the Monthly Day Trip for that month.
Members with common interests have the opportunity to do things as a group. For example, we have an active group of theatre goers.
From time to time, the Club arranges recreational tours or longer trips away from Brisbane. In the past these have included trips to various places within Australia and cruises to Papua New Guinea, the Solomons and New Zealand.
